Kairuu; it is the name of a region little-known to the outside world. Its history is filled with uncertainty; with a background based primarily on myths and stories, no one is completely sure about what formed this great, beautiful region. But one thing is fact: skyscrapers piece the heavens, wireless connections buzz through the air, and people are wired. Despite being built on legend, Kairuu is a region of technology and science. Even so, the environment is well looked after, and Pokémon thrive.
Kairuu is filled with possibilities; from becoming the Elite Champion or Coordinator to conquering the Superbeasts that roam freely. Will you take on the challenge? The limelight is waiting.

We've got huge news. Some of you may not be so eager to hear it, but Jen and I have made our decision. We hope you will all be supportive and follow through with us onto the next big thing.
It's been a blast, Kairuu. The memories will always linger, and they will be held close to our hearts.

Not all announcements will show up on every board, so make sure you check by there. Moderator applications are now open. Also, remember to check the Events side box under the cbox, you'll see a lot of stuff show up there! Currently we still have our opening promotional up, and it'll be up for a little while longer. Remember to read the rules, even if you were a member before, because they've ALL been rewritten and redone, and there's a lot of new stuff, including the contests. Also, if you have any suggestions for how we could make the breeding profession work on Kairuu, please send in your ideas here.
And yes, I still need to fix the new hacks guide.

Alright, well, here we go! Welcome to all new members, and welcome back to all of our old, dear friends! I'm not going to rant on here; check out the announcement for a list of new features and such. A new business has rocked the region as of late; Cohen Industries, it is called. No one knows how it became so popular so fast, but it's CEO has become a very rich man in a very short span of time. It has lent Kairuu technology that has benefited some of the most important functions of a Pokémon Region, such as Pokémon centers. No one knows what they're planning for, but it seems that stopping by wouldn't be a waste of time...

A new NPC has emerged--Calista! An NPC profile will be made for her soon. Until then, check out her quest bulletin! Her quests are special in that no single person can claim it; it will always be open, and updated occasionally to request new types of berries.
A new shop has popped up! Go here for the chance to get a rare berry once per day!
There is now a subboard under character profiles specifically for NPCs. If you have any NPCs under the contest version of NPC creation, in the contests board, please move them. Each NPC should have it's own thread; if there are any sorts of groups, such as bands, they should share a thread--the title should be the name of the group (such as the band name). An index will be made eventually.

1. We're back! Kairuu is open again! New skin, some new features, and such. Look here for future updates to the site itself! From big things such as skins, to little things such as sprite or information changes on stickies.
2. The Bulletin Board is now up and ready for use! NPCs will begin posting requests within the coming days.
3. A few new Superbeasts have been added! Think you have what it takes...?

The Kairuu Law Before you take any further action on the site, we'd like you to fully read and understand the rules and guidelines within. Confused? Feel free to ask an admin or gmod for help.
Updates and Announcements This board is just that. Announcements show up on all boards, but they'll always be posted here. We recommend reading them, because most of them will affect members somehow.
The Encyclopedia (1 sub-board) The Kairuuan Encyclopedia contains bits of history and folklore that are constantly being added to as new information surfaces; it also includes a Pokédex of beasts unique to the region.
Members are free to create new Pokédex entries for their creations as long as they are accepted by staff.
Kairuuan Archives (10 sub-boards) Finished threads, as well as those that have gone inactive for over a month are filed into their appropriate sub-boards here. You'll also find old news posts and announcements within.
Questions, Concerns, and Suggestions Questions concerning the rules of the site, as well as any complaints or suggestions should be posted here. Occasionally staff will post threads asking for members' feedback on topics.
The Staff Conference Room (1 sub-board) This board is reserved strictly for staff, and password-protected to shield information from prying eyes.
Do not try to guess the password; it will be changed.

Member Center
The Member Café (2 sub-boards) An OOC area for members to interact, play games, and just post chat topics in. Preset "games" are also available to those who like them.
Stories and Prompts (1 sub-board) If you have a short story or oneshot that you've written, post it here! Whether it has to do with Kairuu characters or not.
Likewise, if you're having writer's block, try some of our prompt samples to get yourself out of the slump.
Promotion Events (1 sub-board) Special events, such as monthly giveaways, birthdays, etc. will be posted here; if you've got a birthday approaching, you can post in the appropriate sub-board with a wish.
Occasionally, special events will appear; these don't run for long, so keep an eye out for them.
Absence Notifications If you know you're going to be away for some time without computer access, please let us know beforehand. Vacations, being grounded, or just plain out leaving Kairuu will ensure your account will either remain untouched or be properly disposed of.
Do remember that if you plan on joining, plan on staying. We don't appreciate members that join and never post.
Talent Search (1 sub-board) Got talent? Can you draw, paint, create cool graphics, take awesome photos, dance, sing, or do anything not listed above that is considered apart of the artistic world?
Well, post your drawings, graphics, photos, videos, and whatever else inside, and let others feed your ego with compliments.
Also, this is where you may open commissions.

Affiliation Center If you wish to becomes affiliates with Kairuu, or are a member of Kairuu and wish to advertise and earn rewards for recruiting members, you will find all the information you need within, so please stop by for a look--it might be well worth your while.
Diaries and Logs (2 sub-boards) If you wish to have your character keep a diary or journal of sorts, or wish to log the events of your journey, you may use this board to do so.
One thread per character, even if both a diary and log is being kept.
