[/i] create a Legendary, Fossil, Eevee or 'Eon (Eevee evolution), Ditto, or manmade Pokémon-based morph. By manmade, we mean Porygons, Castform, and any others created by humans. The following rules refer to the creation of characters. Old members should read these, as well. However, these do not affect characters that have been accepted before February 27th, 2009. Copyright rules refer back to the section in General Rules.
i. Originality is key. We prefer well-rounded characters that are uniquely yours. Characters should have a well-defined personality, history, and, of course, either a reference image you prefer to use for their appearance, or a detailed, colorful description of their physical self as well as their clothing. Reference images are preferred, as most of us love a visual interpretation, but either is acceptable.
ii. You may not use official images of well-known anime or manga characters as references, nor may you use fanart. If the characters are particularly obscure, as is the series, then we may allow it. If you are unsure, PM the image to Alli.
*Rule of thumb: if Alli can recognized it, you probably can't use it. (That's because I don't watch much anime or read much manga.)
iii. All characters must be sixteen years old by the day they receive their first Pokémon. No exceptions. Ever.
iv. No character's history may include having met a Legendary. This includes the Pokémon Unown.
v. Pokémorphs are allowed, to a certain extent. In fact, almost 15% of Kairuu's population is made up of these part-human oddities, so the region-born citizens will rarely discriminate against them ; exceptions occur everywhere, however. Now, there are limits as to what you can and cannot do with a Pokémorph and they are as follows:
● Your 'morph may not have any form of an attack; this includes breathing fire, ice, creating lightning, or pulling water out of thin air. They may not be taught, or even learn actual Pokémon moves. Innate abilities, such as a Pikachu 'morph being able to create slight amounts of static electricity if the air is particularly dry, or a Poison-type 'morph being able to generate small amounts of venom are fine. Just don't go overboard, because we'll be monitoring 'morphs carefully.
● 'Morphs cannot evolve, per say. However, upon reaching a certain age, they may undergo changes in order to reflect the concept of evolution; puberty, we mean. But a Vulpix 'morph will not suddenly change dramatically from touching a Fire Stone. Items are for Pok?mon, not humans or 'morphs.
● Bird 'morphs cannot fly; the human's bone structure is not designed for flight, and even if the wings were in proportion to the body, it's heavily doubtful that they'd be able to achieve actual liftoff. Water-based 'morphs can only breathe underwater if they have acquired gills from their respective Pokémon, and you must keep in mind that if a Pokémon is a freshwater dweller, your 'morph will not be able to stand salt water, just as a freshwater fish cannot survive in salt water.[/size][/ul]
