"Oh wow, this is so exciting! I can't wait to get to Kairuu and get my very own Pok?mon! I hope they have flying types. Do they have flying types at the lab? I'll be a bit disappointed if they don't, but that's okay, I can still get another type. Don't Charmanders evolve into flying types eventually? And there might be a couple of others there, too, right?"
Sarah was chattering on and on, mostly talking to herself, but her scattered trains of thought were slowing grating on the nerves of some of the people around her, especially the man directly to her left. She had no idea who he was, but she had happily struck up a conversation - at least for a few moments, before she went back to thinking out loud, but he didn't know that. And so she was surprised when he suddlenly spoke up, voice a bit gruff as it was laced with aggravation. "Aye, kid, I'm sure we're all glad you're having a good start, but for the last time, no, they don't have flying types. How about you enjoy yourself a bit quieter, or at least over there, on the other side of the ferry?"
Sarah's chatter paused for a moment as she glanced over at the man, brow furrowed a bit as she thought about his request. "Well, you could have been a bit nicer about it, you know? But sure, I can go over there, and I'm sure I'll have a lot more fun!" She started off at a bit of a stalked march, but within a few feet, her steps were light and bouncy once again. "This is going to be an awesome adventure!" she announced to no one in particular, since there wasn't anyone in the area she had headed to. "And it's okay if they don't have flying types. I'm sure there'll be something just as awesome. And I can take it flying with me when I get to be a pilot!" She paused as if losing her train of thought, but was soon merrily speaking once again. "It's too bad I couldn't have flown over here, but Dad did say it was easier by boat... [/color]" Her voice faded as Angler's Wharf came into view in the distance. " Oh woah..." Quickly, her body posture procured excitement, and she gripped the railing with a bright grin on her face. " This is going to be so awesome!" The moment the ferry was docked, she was flying off the boat. (Not literally, of course, but she would have loved doing that even more.) Quickly, she found directions to the Pok?mon laboratory, and she chattered a bit more to herself as she walked towards the door, mostly about her growing excitement about getting her own Pok?mon. When the door came into view, it was all she could do to simply knock, but knock she did, and then she leaned back and rocked back and forth on the balls of her feet, glancing around at her surroundings.[/blockquote]

" You take care then," The crisp light reflecting off the man's glasses beamed thickly as they slide slightly more down the bridge of his nose, "And you too little guy~" A mixture of mossy green bangs shifty across Constantine's forehead as he bowed his head to met eyes with a pair of a Pok?mon's own.
It was sometime in the afternoon that another trainer had taken the choice upon themselves to visit the Laboratory. Ah, what the treat it was. And it truly was. The male trainer was slightly thick, but everyone gets a little dazed when such large steps are made in one's life. And luckily, Professor Hemlock was the one to fulfill the dream's and destinies of yet another aspirating trainer, breed or coordinator.
The creaking of the door finally being shut allowed Sniper to begin his sentence, "He was something else, was he not sir?" Professor Hemlock's Ariados was along side him while he gave the "thick" trainer his starter along with filled draw-string bag. Even though it was considered rude to talk behind somebodies back like Sniper did... It wasn't a complete insult, now was it? However Lee couldn't disagree none of the less to say.
"I suppose he could have been brighter... However we're just going to have to compromise and not waste such efficient time on the topic of another ," Lee lightly replied heavily sighing just afterwords, "Understood?" And with Sniper nodding as if it were moreso a "have to" the six-legged creature scurried off in hopes to to get in some sort of debate.
Another air-less sigh was air-born while Lee leaned back against the desk-top of which he owned and held his clipboard closely. As a few papers that were attached to the clip-board pressed against his chest the grown men edged his head further back in a form of relaxation. Even though his job and what he did as labor was enjoyable... Nothing was better then a golden silence. A few beams of light peeked through a blinded-window and brighten the Laboratories egg-shell-like cement flooring, "... Today is simply just too good to be true." His slightly shut eyes caught glimpse of the sun as the view provided enough to say that the weather was nearly perfect today.
knock, knock
"Ah, and yet again I was proven correct." A soft chuckle sneaked it's way from Lee's lips as his snicker couldn't have been suppressed, "Damn it, why couldn't have Sniper stayed in contact with me... His help wouldn't have been ignored." Placing the clip-board that had the starter Pok?mon printed onto the it behind him Lee pushed him figure forward and onwards toward the door.
"Welcome to the Laboratory, you may call me Professor Hemlock, " Lee announced blissfully as he opened on of the two doors that acted both as the main exist and main entrance. The hue's behind the his glasses caught a hold of a young lady no taller then 5 feet 4 inches. "Allow my assumption of you in-need of a starter Pok?mon be the reason why you are here, yes?" He then followed through with the obvious question.
So maybe today wasn't the ideal, nor the exact form of perfect... What ever was?

Sarah's impatience and fidgeting was rewarded by the door opening after what seemed like a very long time to her, though was likely only a matter of moments. Maybe a bit longer, but it was all the same to her after the first minute or so. When it was opened, it was by a man in a lab coat, whom Sarah immediately decided was the professor of the lab, even before he introduced himself. "Hello, Professor Hemlock, it's niced to meet you! I'm Sarah." She beamed as she responded to his greeting, liking him from the first glance.
She continued to bounce back and forth on her heels, though it was considerably less noticeable, as she wasn't also looking around at her surroundings. Instead, her gaze was alternating between the professor and what parts of the lab she could see behind the man at the door. "Oh wow, your lab looks so cool!" she said appreciatively, unable to contain her excitement at the thought of going inside, as she knew that inside was where she would obtain her first Pok?mon.
She focused her attention momentarily on the professor's question, nodding a couple of times with a big smile, not even aware of the fact that she might be perceived as immature for acting in such a way. After all, there must have been a good deal of trainers before her that were just as excited. They might not have shown their feelings so openly, but it was there all the same. "Yes, I'm here for a starter. I don't really know which one, though, since the man on the ferry said you don't have flying types - you don't do you?" she asked hopefully, though she doubted it would be the case. The man may have been trying to get rid of her, but she never would have taken him for a liar. "It's okay if you don't, but it'll probably take me a bit longer to pick one..."

Professor Hemlock grinned slightly -- this girl's exuberance was a break from all of the modest trainers that usually visited. And, it wasn't often that such youngsters complimented his laboratory. "The pleasure's all mine. ..Ah, why thank you, Sarah." He readjusted the glasses that sat on the bridge of his nose.
"Come in, come in. No sense in you standing out there.
[/b]" The professor motioned for Sarah to step inside, then shut the door behind her. In response to the young girl's question, Lee Hemlock replied, " No, I'm sorry, we don't stock any Flying-types, unfortunately. We do, however, have your standard Fire-, Grass-, and Water-types, as well as selection of various Fighting-, Ground-, and Poison-type Pok?mon. If none of those choices sound particularly appealing to you, we also offer trainers, breeders, and coordinators the option of choosing a randomized beginner, or letting the computer pick for you,[/b]" Professor Hemlock explained, motioning to an odd-looking device that sat in a corner of the lab. He tapped his finger against his lips thoughtfully. Now, he knew he was forgetting to ask Sarah an important question. Ah...what was it? The entrance of his Ariados, Sniper, interrupted his thoughts. " Lee, don't you mean to ask about her desired profession, as well?" the Ariados commented, as if he'd just read the professor's mind. " Oh, right! Ah, Sniper, what would I do without you?[/b]" he laughed. " Right. So, what path did you plan on pursuing? Trainer, breeder, coordinator? Sniper can retrieve your items for you while you're deciding on a beginner.[/b]" [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Sarah followed the professor into his lab, the smile never leaving her face as she curiously inspected everything she could see, at least to the degree that it took to observe without actually touching the items. She listened as he talked about the different types of Pok?mon available in the lab, and while she was a bit disappointed to hear that the man on the ferry had been right, she recovered quickly enough. And though it looked like she wasn't really paying attention - easy enough to assume when her gaze was still darting left and right as she took everything in - she was running through the choices in her head.
The normal choices, while the ones she knew of were cute, were a bit too normal for her tastes. Fighting and poison were different, but she wasn't too sure what choices would be available, and she didn't think any of them could help her with her dream of flying. And ground... "No, ground would never do..." To be stuck on the ground and never be able to fly... no, ground certainly wouldn't do. Sarah was mumbling a bit to herself as she went over the choices - it was a habit that she didn't even know she did, but probably wouldn't stop even if someone did tell her.
She perked up a bit more upon hearing the option of choosing randomly. Random was always good; it left room for surprises, which she liked, and was like an adventure in itself, which she also liked. How perfect! "Oh, a randomized Pok?mon sounds like fun! Can I help pick?" She'd have a hand in picking her own Pok?mon, while not even knowing what it would be! How awesome would that be?
In her excitement, she almost missed the comment that came from... the Seviper? "Woah. You can talk? How cool!" She was a little surprised, but, being the way she was, not too shocked. Curious was more like it, and delighted at the prospect of talking with other Pok?mon, too. If all of the Pok?mon could talk... she wanted to find a flying type even more now. This was going to be amazing.
The professor repeated the Seviper's words, and she bounced back into focus in order to respond. "I want to be a trainer!" she said cheerfully, rocking a bit on her heels. "For now, at least. The other options sound like so much fun!" she then added thoughtfully, thinking about how fun it would be to try all of the options eventually.
