1. Age
First and foremost, Kairuu must express it's age minimum as far as it's characters are concerned. Members may not, under any circumstances, create a character that is under the age of sixteen, due to the fact that this is a mature roleplaying environment. There will be no exceptions. No, "S/he is turning sixteen soon." or anything of the sort. They must be turning sixteen the day they get their beginner Pokémon or already be older. While you may find this requirement stupid, ridiculous, etcetera, do realize that no sensible parent would willingly allow their child to leave home and travel to a new, unknown country on their own. (And, in my opinion, the Pokémon anime is ridiculous for allowing ten-year-olds to travel all over the land with strangers.)
2. Profile Detail
When creating your character, you will already be aware of the fact that you must, at the minimum, include all the information present on the Profile Skeleton--the only exception to this rule is the Roleplay Sample, which may be left blank for only one of the following reasons: a. You have an admin-approved character on the old Kairuu. b. You have personally roleplayed with one of the staff members and they have recommended you. c. You have already created a character with a roleplay sample. --;;If you do not meet one of the aforementioned criteria, you must provide a roleplay sample. When you are typing up your profile, remember to be creative and descriptive! Do not give us some plain, boring, monotonous profile that we really, really don't want to read. Because if we don't want to read it, we probably won't, and will probably reject it if it's that boring. Why? Because if you won't put any effort into your profile, which is very important, what should make us think that you'll put any effort into your roleplaying? Now, mind, if you are terrible at profiles and can admit it, but your roleplay sample makes us giddy with joy to have such a roleplayer on our site, that might be acceptable. But don't take chances--do your best when creating your characters.
3. Character Details
Now while one could argue I've told you enough about that your character needs details, there are some strong points that we here at Kairuu must stress about the characters themselves. There are regulations on what you can and can't do as far as characters go, and although we try to be lenient with people (could you guess? I bet you couldn't.), there are some things that we will not question our judgment on. a. PokéMorphs ;; Kairuu DOES allow PokéMorphs! See the below section, #4, for our regulations on PokéMorphs, because there are rules to follow as far as they go. b. Sexuality ;; As you have already gathered from the rules, hopefully, Kairuu is completely open to any gender of any sexuality. That ranges from heterosexual (straight), to bisexual, to pansexual, to homosexual (gay/lesbian), to metrosexual, to transsexual, even to asexual! Shounen-ai, shojo-ai, shota, twincest, incest, and anything of the like is allowed here. The only thing we do not accept is bestiality. Your characters are not allowed to have sex with their Pokémon. No exceptions. c. Females ;; As stated in the rules, we will automatically remove your account if you apply with a small lady that has an overwhelming bust. Now, that's not to say that all females have to be small-chested, by no means! Just try to keep your females' chest size relative to their overall body shape. Be realistic about it, please and thanks. d. Males ;; Now, it often turns out that Kairuu becomes almost a magnet for homosexual male characters. We don't mind, obviously--being both your admins here, Near and myself, roleplay pretty much nothing except such characters. There really aren't that many regulations regarding males. Oh! But do remember. The average size of a male's penis is not in the double-digits. Remember--be realistic. Average is around 4-6 inches placid. e. History ;; There are a few things that cannot and will not have happened in your character's past, simple as that. They may not have encountered a legendary, ever. You can say that they "thought they saw", but no definite encounters; and no saying in the profile that they thought they saw a legendary, and yet roleplaying them as if they definitely did. Also, for the love of fucking Arceus, do NOT make all your characters have some oh-woe-is-me sob stories. Now we don't mind angst in your characters' past! Angst can be absolutely beautiful if used correctly. Just remember--if it sounds too cliche, we're going to request you redo it or, if it's absolutely horrendously written, we'll simple deny it.
4. PokéMorphs
As stated, we do allow PokéMorphs on Kairuu. There are regulations to this, however, and the easiest way to get them through to you is to break them down into easy-to-digest little sections. Mind, if you aren't planning on making a PokéMorph, you don't have to read this, but it's good knowledge to have.
a. Species ;; Your 'morph may not be an Eevee or 'Eon Evolution unless you have permission from an admin. And you'd have to be pretty damn special for us to give you a greenlight-go. Legendary/Fossil/Ancient 'morphs are outright banned, and if you even think about submitting one such character, your character profile will face immediate rejection. b. Special Attributes ;; While your 'morphs may have attributes related to their species, these are limited to small features, and small features only. Your 'morphs may NOT use any sort of attack. If you want an example, for instance, take Near's own character, Noah. He is a Koffing 'morph, and his coloration is, naturally, based on a Koffing. Aside from that, he can emit a small dosage of toxins from his pores at his will, as well as being able to tolerate poisons and toxins entering his own body. An example of something you may not do, however, would be as following: GaryStu is a Charizard 'morph. He can breathe fire. -- No. Bad noob. If you have any questions on this, please ask an admin, because we can be very understand when it comes to this rule. (It sure shows, doesn't it? I bet it doesn't.) b-1. edit by Near;; Creativity is also a must here; while most of you would love to have a winged 'morph, sorry. Even if somehow magically your bird 'morph's wings ended up on her back, she wouldn't be able to fly. Aside from that, a bird's/bat's wings are its arms. Imagine the rest on your own. As far as appearance goes, don't just stick a tail and ears on your character and call 'em a 'morph. Alli has such a character, Takuya, but he resembles a Mightyena in more ways than just those physical additions. My own character, Mika, is a Horsea 'morph, and his appearance has changed drastically to resemble one. Just keep that in mind before you go creating a 'morph. Incorporate the species traits into the human in addition to the physical oddities. c. Evolution ;; While your 'morph cannot battle, level up, or otherwise have similar attributes that a Pokémon would have--such as becoming stronger if they eat a rare candy--your character can, say, "evolve". This is sensitive, however, in being that the only time they could do such, really, is at puberty. Otherwise, no. And no, your 'morph will not evolve nor react to evolutionary stones, even if their species does--Ninetails, for example. d. History ;; Anyone who has roleplayed with or as a PokéMorph has probably read their fair share of "Kidnapped by Team Rocket/soandso/Jebus and experimented on until s/he became what s/he is." stories. And yes, we're quite sick of them, and no, we will not accept them unless you put a whole fucking lot of creative flare to them. You know what cliche is. Don't do it. It's that simple.
