1. What is Imprisonment?
Simply put, Kairuu's prison is much like the real-world prison. If you do something that is against the law, most likely you're going to go to jail! If your character gets caught doing something that is against the law, a police officer NPC will post wherever they are and will haul them off to jail. You don't get a trial or a jury of your peers here. You simply get time in the slammer.
2. So what happens if my character gets arrested?
Well, first of all, they will be arrested on the spot of their crime. If they were not caught right away, they will be arrested in their most active location.
While your character is imprisoned, they may not post anywhere; whether this be in the Other Areas, Shops, or Adoption Centers. They may also not claim anything from Promotionals, and may not be given or transfered any items that originated from a Promotional they missed while in prison. If you are caught posting when your character is in prison with that character, your character will be given a longer sentence--and you may have a temporary suspension of posting privileges.
3. How long can a character be imprisoned for?
While there is no exact limit or minimum to how long a character will be kept in jail, you can probably expect a minimum of three days. Different offenses will warrant different amounts of time in jail, after all. If you want to know some more specifics, here are a few.
•Attacking and, or, attempting to capture a redlist Pokémon : 14 days •Stealing from a Shop (adding an item to your character's PC before the money has been deducted) : 3 days •Attacking and, or, attempting to capture a Pokémon from the PokéPark : 7 days •Being caught cheating at Casino Doreli : 5 days.
Of course, these are only just a few examples--and the amount of time spent in jail may not be the only punishment the character receives!
4. Are we allowed to RP at all?
No.
The only exception would be if your character is in prison for more than seven days. If they have been sentences to more than seven days, than you may RP with other prisoners that have been sentences to more than fourteen days in the Prison sub-forum under Soleil Beach. No matter what you are RPing, when your character's time in jail has ended, an NPC guard will come and take your character away from whatever they may be occupied with in the RP, and the thread will be locked. You are allowed to start the thread whenever you wish, even if those seven days have not passed yet.
5. What about our character's Pokémon?
Mind that some offenses will completely strip you of the Pokémon that was your partner in crime, most often they will be killed humanely or possibly shipped off to unknown lands. As far as other Pokémon go, however, all your character's Pokémon will be kept in their PC for as long as they are in prison. No Pokémon are to be taken inside the prison--whether you're going to be in there long enough to RP or not.
6. How does being in prison effect our character?
Well, it can effect them however you wish it to, mentally and phsyically. One thing you cannot control, however, is how others view you because of your time spent behind bars. Many NPCs will not trust you, such as the Adoption Center owner, Quill, and some places may even outright refuse to serve your character if they have a record. It's unlikely that any benefits will arise from having had your character imprisoned.
7. What about our other characters?
Yes, well. Remember, the character is the one tossed in the slammer--not the member. So you are free to roleplay any of your other characters as you see fit. However, if we see members constantly having their characters go against the Kairuu laws, we may take action against your account. It's one thing if that's your character's personality--the kind of character that simply wants to break all the rules. But we'll know based on their profile if that's who they are, and the excuse of, "All my characters are like that, though!" doesn't fly with us.
