Yes, I know I'm lame. 2009 is only hours away. Omg. Sounds so weird, eh? Well, here's what we're gonna do. 1. Reply to this with at least 3 resolutions you are making this year, one of which must be a goal on Kairuu. 2. Post a sentence or two for each character writing wishes on pieces of paper and tying them to the Wish Tree (that means a couple sentences each, please). Actually explain what they wish for, though (make sure we know exactly how they worded it; use my own for an example, if you so wish). Make the wish anything you want--whether the character really wants a rare Pokémon (no legendaries; fossils and redlisters are fine, though!), a new pair of gloves, or the attention of a particular someone, such things are fine to wish for. 3. Each character can claim one of the boxes below. On the night of the 1st, the boxes will open to reveal what the character was given by Jirachi! *This is for regular characters only. Sorry, no NPCs.

My Resolutions 1. To bring Kairuu back to life by the dawn of Summer. 2. To bring to Kairuu many new ideas and systems that will keep members interested and catch the attention of new, possible members. 3. To rewrite a few select old stories; to update my current works on FictionPress, at least (perhaps even FanFiction), and to begin writing at least 3 new pieces for FictionPress. 4. To finish the fanfiction for RuuiCh4n (Glass Angels and Birthday) 5. To meet Near in person (we gotta, man D:> omg let's fine a way xD) 6. To swim every day if the pool is open. AKA to loose some weight (-/total fatass-) 7. To get back into photography. 8. To actually do summer assignments (and, for that matter, my winter assignments, I need to read a book or two DX omg) 9. READ MORE (actually write down a to-read list and READ THOSE BOOKS) 10. Start relearning Japanese. 11. Paint more. 12. Plug Kairuu into every available option to urge prospective members out of hiding. 13. To fully flesh out each and every character and to write some background scenes for each, such as: Nema--scene when he was 15 when his dad walked in on him and his first; and when he let his one friend in prison, that once, fuck him; and when he started communicating with his father again. Dakota--some shit with his first boyfriend for fluff. 14. Try to get people to like me better (this won't happen). 15. Find a way to get medicine for insomnia, depression, and bipolar to help calm bitchiness and annoyingness and peoplehatemeforthisshitness.
Uh. I reach for the moon, but land on a star--then fall off and just plunge into the ocean, so it's like the frog whom jumps two feet up and falls thirty feet down. Yeah.
Dakota takes a prayer tag and writes his wish in neat handwriting, tying the thin, red cord carefully to the tree. He stares curiously at the pile of boxes nearby; as he takes his leave, he plucks one up from the ground. Wish: "I deeply desire the true love of my companion, and for our troubles to become less dangerous to our relationship." Box: #1
Atticus fingers his pale-gray prayer tag curiously, leaving smudges on it, before finally messily scrawling his wish onto the wood. After having nearly failed at the task of tying the tag to the tree, he skips over to the boxes and hugs one to his chest as he leaves. Wish: "I hope Kahale and I will become very close, and that all the Pokémon in the world will be eternally happy!" Box: #7
Nema gives the tree an odd stare before peering down at the dark red prayer tag in his hand. After a moment of thought, he writes his wish down carefully in tiny Hangul (Korean) characters. He ties it to the tree, pats his palms together, bows slightly, and veers around to leave, hardly remembering to take a gift box as he walks out. Wish: "To be strong for myself, I long for someone whom can morally support me; and whom I can support with my own strength. Let Mother be well and for her dreams to bear fruit." Box: #21
Cassidy has no clue what any of this nonsense is about. He notices that people seem to have written on the cards, but, being illiterate, he can't make out anything. Unsure of what to do, he bites his lip; when he realizing he's bleeding by feeling a bit of liquid slide down his skin, he rubs some onto the card with a finger in the shape of a heart. He's not sure why, but it feels good enough to him. He ties it carefully and, on his way out, takes a box--everyone else is doing it, after all. Wish: No wish is written, but a heart is drawn in his own blood. Box: #13
Jack thinks the idea of tying pieces of wood to a tree is hilarious. Even so, he decides to humor the person whom thought of the idea and writes a wish down on a yellow prayer tag, which he ties to the tree with little difficulty. As he's leaving, he kicks a box away from the rest, eventually grabbing it off the ground as he exits. Wish: "I want Diamond to be safe. And it'd be great if someone interesting could insert themselves into my life. Or for someone I already know to prove more interesting than I figured." Box: #19

MY RESOLUTIONS!- Finish all my profiles here, including those that I have planned but not yet started, and keep up with all of my characters! I can do iiiiit~ - Start writing short stories again, because it's fun and I need to improve. - Watch CSI all the way up until the most recent episodes! - Get a boyfriend or girlfriend? ... Hopefully? ): - Work on having straight A's by the end of the year -- yes, that does mean in pre-calc too. Uggghghhghuhugh. - Get better at making sprites, and design some Fakemon for fun. 8) - Try to work on learning tact and not babble so much when talking to people, damn it. Come on Zommie. ):< - Get both my warlock and death knight to level 80. (World of Warcraft ftw!) - Have fun, don't stress so much! Most of these are pretty reasonable... I think. :U;;; I CAN DO EET. Darby snorts in disgust and amusement at the concept of hanging wishes on trees in hopes that they'll come true. Totally ridiculous; nothin's gonna happen unless you make it happen yourself. Still, he indulgently writes on his card and hangs it, rolling his eyes and looking over-exaggeratedly mock-hopeful for a moment before slinking away. He snags a box mostly because no one seems to mind that everyone's taking them, so hey, free stuff. WISH: "Gemme some power, money, and respect, and maybe I'll believe in this stupid holiday." BOX: Fifty.
Kim wracks her brain for what to write on her card, nervously fidgeting with it. It's a neat idea, except... she's having a tough time nailing down one thing that she could wish for. After a while of nervously turning her card over and over in her hands, she quickly scribbles something on the card, tags it to the tree with always-shaky hands, scoops up a chatty and excited Ene (holidays clearly make him a bit giddy), and shuffles out as if she were embarrassed. Before she's completely gone, her Skitty loudly reminds her to grab a box, because he's seen all the others doing it. She flusters and snags one, then breaks into a half-run to get away, the feeling of eyes on her back making her nervous even though most of the people there aren't sparing her a second glance. WISH: "I wish to become a great coordinator, to gather my dream-team and really get good at it. If that's too much, though, well... just to be happy and safe would be nice." BOX: Twenty-two.
Ellery is quite charmed by this holiday's concept. Something like New Year's resolutions, kinda. Not quite though. He slowly and carefully writes a wish in his neatest handwriting (his usual is actually a bit sloppy) and tags it to the tree, biting his lip and turning after a few moments of staring at the tree. It's a pretty sight, but he can't very well stay and watch it forever. On his way out, he scoops up a box, eying it as he leaves. WISH: "I want to live until this time next year. Please. Let me enjoy a single year." BOX: Seventeen.
Landon doesn't know if he believes writing a wish on a card will actually make his wish come true. Never happened before, after all, and he's lived in Kairuu most of his life; he's participated in this sort of thing plenty of times. Still, just in case (and maybe because it's sorta fun), he sloppily writes a wish and ties his card to the tree. He cheerfully watches it twist and sway in the wind, surveying his work for a second, and then off he goes, snagging a box on the way out. WISH: "Let's see this world light up! People need a little excitement once and a while. And hey, you think you could manage getting me a hold of some sort of badass Pok?mon or something? That'd be sweet." BOX: Thirty-one.

Elias daintily fits a pencil into his claw-like fingers, has it drop out a few times, digs his claws into it, and, satisfied, starts to write something in a messy, but legible scrawl. He scribbles a few things out, cocks his head to the side, and gets a concerned look on his face. Not knowing what else to do, he ties it gently to the tree, pats the branch, and takes up a box with one of his index fingers before going on his way. Wish; "I want people everywhere to be happy... but 'specially me. Is that rude to say? Oh, sorry... but I do. I want to make some new friends and maybe start breeding... Pok?mon! Not like.. oh.. Arceus. Sorry, wish tree. For defiling you and stuff. I apologize. I'll make a better wish next year, I promise!" Box: #3

[/b], with an air of boredom, takes a tag and scribbles something down almost blindly. He seems happy with it, grins like a maniac, shushes the nothing next to him, and sticks it on the tree crudely. Without a backwards glance he picks up a very specific box, and saunters off into the distance, without the faintest idea of where he's going. Wish; "All I want is some fucking excitement. I don't care how it comes, or what form it takes. I want something to spice up my dull, dull life." Box; #37 Lyra prances around the tree at first, getting an idea of what to do. Her parents didn't like to celebrate much besides Christmas and Easter, and the thought of making a resolution like this is simply baffling. She gets an idea after a minute, picks up a note, and hurriedly writes something down, not caring what it looks like. People don't actually think that things like this come true, do they? Well, they're silly! None the less, it did seem like fun.... She eyes a specific number, grins and scoops it up with her tail before strutting away. Wish; "I want someone who'll love me for me, and stick with me forever... and shower me with attention. Oh! And some pretty Pok?mon would be great~" Box; #42 Tarou looks at the tree with a distasteful eye, not understanding how people like to fool themselves into believing such nonsense. Non-the-less, he decides to 'waste' his time, and goes out of his routine to write a neat little note. He puts it as dully as possible on the tree, and walks away, unfazed. Wish; "I want to find my brother Illu alive and well, and for him to be in good health until I do so. Good fortune to my father, and kindness to my mother's memory." Box; #29 Ace[/color] curiously inspects the tree, not really getting the concept but enthralled anyway. Such simplistic, adorable culture~ She quickly writes something down, and stares at the tree before taking one of the boxes, watching it as she slowly walks away. Wish; "I just want to go home." Box; #2 Oliver seems completely bored with the tree, the boxes, and everything in general, but his insides are squirming with glee and anxiety. He wants to see if it really works, and if so, if the wonderous wish-giver can understand German. He hastily writes a very 'heart-felt' wish down, and since it's anonymous, went crazy. He ties it to the tree a little more gently than he would if someone important was watching, and hurriedly takes a box before anyone can identify the wish as his. Wish; * written in German* "I want to get a name for myself, of course, but more importantly I want a cute Pok?mon, some chocolate, and a house made of cookies. And pianos. Could you mix the two together, please? Also, I want Lanny to chill a bit and take notice of his surroundings, and maybe some more ice breaker sours. Box; #11 [/blockquote][/blockquote]

[/size] -Get to know everyone on Kairuu, and to not be such a stranger. -Finish Devon, and make a few more characters that are well-rounded and fun to roleplay with. -Not to suck so much in school. -Become a bit more outgoing and sociable. -Stop taking things so personally. -Finish all weekend homework I may have. -Beat Okami. O: -Speaking of video games, I want to also beat Phoenix Wright (No. 3) -Make my band teacher proud of my flute skills. -Get an avatar (in fact, I could do that right now. ) And that's about it. I rarely make resolutions in the first place, so this is a first. x3 ___--___ Devon is completely amazed that wishes just might be able to come through, and seems to whole-heartedly believe that whatever he writes on his card will certainly be granted. With a child-like grin plastered on his face, he scrawls a few poorly thought out words on his prayer card and attempts to tie it on a . When it falls, he simply frowns and puts it on a branch where he hopes it won't fall. With a shrug and a skip, he nearly trips over a box that he takes on his way out, hoping it was meant to be taken by him.WISH: I'd like to have new materials for making a new costume for myself, and maybe even an intelligent Pokémon so I could start my coordinating career. [/b][/u] - finish Marika's profile and stay active! - help Kairuu in whatever way I can (and have time for) - try to get at least six hours of sleep a night - take some time to relax and not completely freak out from stress - start writing something, anything, because I've been meaning to do it for a while and have never gotten around to it - learn some more Spanish on my own 'cause my teacher doesn't freakin' teach - keep my room clean for more than two days (which has literally never happened) - try not to insert myself into everyone's situations - go on a long walk at least once a week, sometimes with my doggies <3 - no procrastination! (bahaha, good one) - try not to look for a reason to be upset [/ul] Marika had heard about this whole tree deal earlier in the season and hadn't quite established her view on the entire process. Now that she's standing next to the tree, she glances at the tags strewn about the branches. Without another moment of thought, she takes a tag and hastily scribbles her wish on it. She stares down at the wood once before sauntering up to the tree, tying it neatly to a low branch. She turns around and almost leaves before remembering the gift. She grabs the closest one before quickly shuffling away. WISH: "I wish that something, or someone, worthwhile would just drop into my life so that maybe I could forget the past and move on. Also, a good hat would be nice." BOX: # 23

Resolutions
1. To go to the gym as often as possible next semester. Not necessarily every day, though that would be great, but at least twice a week. 2. To get my writing drive back, some how, some way. 3. To continue working on my book series, even when I get writer's block. I can't make the resolution to finish any of the books, but I can at least resolve to work on them as much as possible. 4. To try and stop procrastinating so badly, though this may just be wishful thinking. 5. To finish all of the current profiles I'm working on for Kairuu, and to make them as great as they can be. 6. To change my major to Mass Media, concentration in Broadcasting. 7. To stop. I'm going to try so hard to make this more than wishful thinking. 8. To become a full-fledged sorority member. 9. Continue to/actually practice my trumpet in order to get even better.
Cain approaches the tree with a bit of a scowl, studying the thing and wondering exactly why so many people seem to believe that a stupid little tree would grant their wishes. Still... maybe solidifying his feelings into words would take him a step closer to completing the actual action. And since it was anonymous, no one would know who had put the tag on the tree. Especially not anyone he knew. Especially not Abel. Suddenly feeling a bit better about the idea of the tree, Cain grabs a purple tag and flips it over, scribbling a bit on the back before tying it to the tree. On his way out he notices a bunch of boxes, and decides, 'what the heck?', might as well take one. Wish: "I want to meet up with him... and kill him." Box #: 5
Abel looks rather hopeful as he approaches the tree. A wishing tree? Would it really grant a wish for him? Did he deserve it? The idea is a prospective one, and he carefully picks up a blank orange tag, flipping it over and studying the back, wondering just how many others had poured their hearts out to this very tree. Had Cain? What had he wished for? Abel can't even begin to wonder. Thinking hard, he finally writes down a few things on the card, hoping that maybe they'll come true. Noticing a bunch of boxes, he decides to take one before leaving. Wish: "I want to be able to run again, as soon as possible... and I want to meet up with my brother. If only one of these can be granted... he comes first. I can wait." Box #: 43
Sarah bounces over to the tree, admiring it and exclaiming over how beautiful everything looks, from the pretty tags tied to all the branches to the scenery to the tree itself, even though there's no one around to actually hear what she's saying. Maybe she thinks the tree itself can hear her. When she's finished she picks up a pretty purple tag and starts scribbling away, thinking as she writes about what she wants to wish for. Well, then again, she doesn't need to do much thinking to know what she wants most deeply. With a grin, she ties the tag to the tree, finishing with a pretty little bow in the string, and is about to leave when she notices a bunch of numbered boxes. Delighted at the prospect of taking one with her, Sarah spends a minute or so changing her mind as to which one she wants, but finally settles on one and bounces back out. Wish: "I want to become a pilot and fly everywhere! I want to see everything there is to see~" Box #: 20
Elijah stands and fidgets in front of the tree for a good while, trying to figure out exactly what it is, what to do. He knows that other people have come and put their wishes on cards and tied to them to the tree, but... He knows he cannot do this, having not yet learned to read or write much of the human language, or in any language understood by people. Still... He thinks back to one of his own traditions, a similar event where he and his family brought small things to a special tree and made wishes in their hearts. Surely he can do the same. He finds himself holding tightly to a green tag, eyes shut as he thinks hard of the wish he wants so dearly to have come true. With the ink available to write with, he simply marks the tag with his print, then stumbles through tying it to the tree. He's just about to leave before he sees the boxes on the ground. At first he thinks it's what other people have left, but then he sees that they've all got different marks on them that he recognizes as numbers. Many numbers are missing, and it's then that he realizes they're for taking, not leaving behind. He scoops one up and then leaves with it. Wish: "-The card is blank, aside from a smudged handprint. However, his wish goes somewhat as follows- I want to see my family again, to know they're all right... and I want to know that my friend is still alive." Box #: 35
Elizabeth has to wonder at the tree in front of her, but refuses to question the idea of 'will this actually grant me a wish?' No, she prefers to leave things her belief in these things alone. Besides, either way she knows she's going to do it, if only for the comfort that comes from knowing that her family would appreciate her efforts. And if the tree did somehow grant her wish, then, well, it would make her happy, too. She picks up a green tag and flips it over, taking an extremely long time to formulate what she wants to write on her card... and even then, she crosses things out a good amount of times before getting it right. She's sorry for messing up such a pretty card, but thinks it feels even more real now that she's finally done. She ties it carefully on to the tree and moves to leave, but discovers the boxes on the ground and takes one before actually leaving. Wish: -There are many cross-outs dealing along the lines of "I want to get better", only in different words.- "I want to live as long as possible, but not past the point where I'm hurting those I love more than helping by still being around. I also would really like to know that I'll be leaving any Pokémon I have in good hands..." Box #: 26

My Resolutions for the New Year
Well, I almost always break my resolutions in record time, but I'm going to make a few just for good measure. This year, 2009, I'll try to make true the following;
- Meet Alli in real life. [I'm sorry but it has to be done. Somehow. >/]
- Get my driver's license (and a car maybe, if I'm lucky). [I'm going to be twenty freaking years old this year, isn't it about time?]
- Work on getting my GED and figure out what I want to do in life. [Aside from packing up my stuff and moving to Delaware. :D]
- Save up some money, for fuck's sake.
- Hope my father would leave my mother the fuck alone and stop being so bitter and immature and get on with his own life.
- That my mother and amazing stepfather will have many, many more happy years ahead and that I can do something to help that happen.
- To help my mother get my brother into daycare again and find a job once I get a license and hopefully a car to travel to work in.
- That Kairuu comes back better than ever and that I could be a better owner to it, and that I can give my members the best experience I can and keep the place going as long as fucking possible. [Ya know, Alli once said we'll be in a retirement home together and still be working on this place. :D]
Artemis approaches the tree slowly, admiring the sight of the many-colored tags fluttering in a gentle breeze, and finally reaches out to carefully pick out a simple white wish tag, using the ink pen provided to transfer his wish to paper in fluent Japanese hiragana. He hesitates, hugs the tag to his chest for a moment, then ties the string to a branch, watching it dangle for a moment. With an almost melancholy expression on his face, he places his palms together and bows his head, closing his eyes in what seems like a brief prayer before crouching to pick up the box directly below his wish tag and leaving the place with only a silent look over his shoulder to reassure himself that his wish is secure. Wish; "Give Brother all the happiness he deserves and good fortune in his relationship; I know this may be selfish of me, but I'd like to find that same happiness he feels every time he's with Dakota. Let my Pokémon be happy as well, they deserve it most of all. ...a-and if it's at all possible, I'd like a Linoone of my own to become a companion for life." Box; #10
Noah has always found a certain charm about wish trees like this one, so he wastes no time in picking out a dark green tag and turns it over in his hands for a moment as if debating what to ask of the spirits, then neatly prints his wishes in Thai letters and wraps the string around the tree. Watching it for a moment, he gives the tree a curt bow and scans the pile of boxes before finally delicately picking up one and leaving the area. Wish; "Just make everything wonderful for little Brother and me. And if it's not too much to ask, let an Onix and a Metal Coat find their way to me so I can add to my team and stop fantasizing about owning a Steelix. Oh... and... let Dakota understand he's my one and only and I'd never let go of him. Ever." Box; #27
Marley is new to this sort of thing, being a Christian, but by watching others complete their wishes, and even asking a few of them what the purpose of this tree is, she quickly catches on and tears off a bright pink tag, scrawling in her cursive a quick note and ties it to a high branch, nearly knocking down other wish tags in the process. She admires her handiwork for a moment, then indecisively tucks a box in the crook of her arm and turns her custom headphones on as she saunters out of the place, wondering if her wishes will come true at all. Wish; "Jacko would definitely love a little scarf for himself, so I think that'd be nice... and, well, I'd like to meet new people and perhaps even get a beautiful little Vulpix of my own." Box; #4
Cree isn't sure wishing for something will put things right, so he skirts around the perimeter of the area, gathering the nerve to finally step up to the small plant and pick out a pale blue tag. He twists it in his hands until it nearly rips in two, and finally, if not somewhat shakily, scribbles a few lines and ties it to the tree, barely realizing to grab a box as he leaves, a feel of wasting his time getting his hopes up for something that may just be a hoax floating over his head. Wish; "...just put everything back the way it was before. And if possible, at all... my dearest wish is to find someone to care for me. ...and.. this is too much, but... if I could have a... Pikachu, I'd be forever happy. No matter what." Box; #49
Blair nonchalantly approaches the tree, stares at it for a moment, and tears off a tag, wondering whether this really is worth his time; he idly scratches at his right wrist, rubbing the scarring and finally flinches and decides to give it a shot. Biting his lip, he writes a few things down, scribbles over one of the sentences, and ties the tag haphazardly to the tree. Contemplating for a single moment whether he should just tear the damn thing off and screw it all, he scoops up a box like he's seen others do, and walks away. Wish; "Truthfully I wish people wouldn't judge me by my scars. I also want Malcolm to.. uh. -/black mess of ink scrawled over the end of that sentence- I'd also love a shiny Lunatone, please and thanks. Whatever. An actual boyfriend that won't stab me in the back would be nice, too, but that's obviously not happening anytime soon." Box; #33

→ keep up with school and stop skipping. → not be so snipping at little problems → stop talking when opinion is not wanted → write, write, write! dammit. → stop being cowardly. → have more confidence in my writing → for Kairuu to be amazingly prosperous. <3 → have fun! Trigger could only be so scared to dab into different types of cultures away from her own, but figures a wish a day is healthy for anyone, including herself. Taking on the tags, she begins to write in a lazy drawl of penmanship. Snickering to herself inwardly, she attaches the tag and chooses a box with the good ole' 'close-yer-eyes-and-pick'em' technique and heads off on her way. wish ;; "Let's get a little more exciting this year, I'm getting out of the house these days, so let's pray for some fun and shit. Don't bore me world, or I'm going back to me computer." number ;; #15
Carlos is skeptical, and is honestly mocking this whole charade, but decided to take part just for shits and giggles. Why the hell not, right? Writing in a rather neat cursive, huh, unexpected. Taking a couples moments to figure out where to put the wish tag, he accidentally kicks one of the boxes when leaving and picks it up on his way out. Shiloh is only taking part in all this because of Milo, his younger brother. Muttering swears under is breath is snatches a tag in an annoyed fashion. With more incoherent breaths he hands to tag to his brother, expecting him to attach the tag himself, he also leaves in a hurry, expecting his younger brother to also take a box for him. wish ;; "Make life worth living, I'm sick of the same shit on a different day. Milo is ecstatic about this whole festive way to participate in the ringing in of the New Year. He is a bit displeased about his brother's attitude towards the whole thing, but he bares a smile through it all anyway. Cheerfully, he nabs a take and begins to write a bit too hurriedly ending up in a messy scrawl. As Shiloh shoves his own tag in his direction, Milo sticks out his tongue immaturely and ties both wish tags unto the tree. Gabriel chuckling thoughtfully, the officer only sighs at himself. Participating in such... splendorous things? Usually not like him, but when in Rome. Taking a tag, and actually taking a moment or so to think about what to write, he only smiles and scribbles his thoughts down. Using a gloved hand to tie the tag to the tree and taps it with a finger to watch it sway. Eyes spotting the boxes, he contemplates taking more than one, but only shakes his head and decides it's not worth the effort. my resolutions. - to finish up my character's profiles and actually do a good job on them. - to stop being such a lazy ass. xD - get my driver's license and get a car. - to focus more on my school work and pass all of my classes this semester. - stop taking things so personally and loosen up once and a while. - learn to play the guitar. - catch up on all of the House episodes. o.o; - see at least one of my favorite bands in concert this year. - start looking at colleges and try to make some decisions regarding a future career. - make peace with my mother so we can finally start getting along.
Kahale saunters up to the tree, eyeing it curiously. To be honest, he'd never participated in something like this, so he wasn't sure exactly what he should be doing. Upon closer inspection of the tree, he realized that other people had already written things on the prayer tags and draped them around the spindly branches. Maneuvering around the boxes at the tree's base, Kahale snagged a blank tag. He carefully wrote his wish down onto the surface of the paper, then looped it around a branch. Turning on his heel, he begins to walk away, before remembering that he's supposed to take one of the boxes. wish. "I hope to one day become a great Pok?mon trainer like my brother. I also want to get to know Atticus better... He's really a great guy." box. #16
Moz approaches the tree, shaking his head skeptically. He never believed in this sort of thing. But, it was the New Year, and he remembered how excited hanging prayer tags on the tree had made his younger brother. He would do this, but just for Aten. Personally, Moz could care less. After messily scrawling a wish on one of the tags, he placed it on one of the high branches. Scoffing, he bent down, and snatched up one of the boxes, not wasting any time in getting the heck out of there. wish. "I hope that my brother is continuing to rest in peace. I wish that the painful memories of his death and my past would leave me, so I can finally stop mourning." box. #9
Harper approached the tree, a large grin plastered upon her face. She absolutely loved doing this; fond memories of hanging prayer tags on New Year's with her family flooded her mind. It took almost all of her self control to stop herself from squealing with delight. Taking one of the tags from the tree, Harper took her time writing her wish as neatly as she could. Daintily, she replaced the tag on the tree, not forgetting to take one of the boxes before she left. wish. "I don't want to ask for much...but, I hope that I become a greatest Psychic Pok?mon trainer...or coordinator! Either way. I also hope to find that special someone before the year is out. Jarek wanders up the the tree, looking rather confused. What the hell kind of weird ritual was this? Never before in his life had he seen something as strange as people hanging slips of paper on a dead tree, hoping that their wishes would magically come true. Shrugging, Jarek decided that he might as well hop onto the bandwagon. Besides, he wasn't going to pass up an opportunity for free stuff. He did feel a little bad, for not having fully put his heart in this, but for him, New Year's was just another day. wish. "..Uh, I don't really have much to say. I guess I'd like some money. Hannibal hesitantly shuffles up to the tree, gazing at is suspiciously. This all sounded like a ridiculous hoax to him. It really wasn't worth his time at all. But, he'd made a promise to himself that he'd come and see what all the hype was about. Sighing, he pulled the scarf up higher around his face. It was hard enough getting here, with all the people looking at him like he was a freak. Maybe this stupid tree could actually do something to help him. He didn't care what it did, as long is it could offer him some consolation. Damn it, what was he even thinking? The more he thought about it, the more he felt like a fool. Wrenching a tag from a branch, Hannibal hastily scrawled his wish down before he could change his mind and walk away without doing anything. Just for the hell of it, he grabbed one of the boxes out of the pile before trudging away. wish. "I just want to be accepted. I'm tired of everyone staring at me like I'm a freak. I want the willpower to ignore their comments, and to be able to see myself as a human being, and not a monster." box. #6

The night has come... The WishMaker has arrived!From seemingly nothing the Wish Tree begins to shine brightly, each individual wish tag, all unique with the wishes of so many individuals, glowing fantastically. Behind the tree is a large pillar, the platform seemingly spanning a mile in each direction. It glows, gold in merriment; and from a sudden void of light emerge the three legendary beasts: Palkia and Dialga on the sides, and Arceus in the center. Arceus bows his head as Palkia teleports those whom made wishes onto the stairway leading to the tree. Light surrounds Dialga as a small, yellow, glowing form is brought from the tree; the little Pok?mon's eyes begin to open, slowly. Jirachi has been awakened. The Wish Maker zooms around the tree before whizzing around the heads of those whom had been drawn to be present. "Dream big! Wishes always come true!" the little thing says loudly, before floating back to the tree. Light surrounds the Pokémon and the tree once more, brighter than ever; a spectrum of colors, each glowing so bright that everything, for an instant, appears. white. Each wish tag slowly begins to burn until there is nothing left of the tags. The boxes suddenly appear; the pile of boxes left unwanted begin to transform--slowly, at first, before Ledyba begin to whiz from the mass and Kricketot bounce around. Pokémon form from it until there are no boxes left; they dance and sing and fly about, the light and darkness meeting in a whimsical parade of Pokémon eager to please. The boxes that were chosen, however, suddenly appear at the feet of each person, glowing with that same light that surrounds the tree. Arceus, Pakia, and Dialga disappear as the boxes begin to take a new shape. ------------------------- Here's how it works. Each box has exactly a 50% chance to contain any Pokémon that exists (except legendaries) at level 15, and a 50% chance to contain exactly what the person wished for (or some interpretation of it). *One lucky box (decided by a random generator, 1-50), will contain a redlist Pok?mon-- on top of what you already got. It will be the WishMaker choosing a "friend", and granting that friend a "random" Pokémon that humans believe to be extremely rare. However, you will be asked to specify what the shape is when it is described. It will be the last thing to be decided. (So that people don't think I'm taking favorites; sorry Near and Jazz, but no staff members are going to receive this, I'll reroll if one of us gets this.) As the light slowly dies down, many Pokémon have become visible from the boxes; some boxes have disappeared completely, while others hold smaller gifts and notes. Jirachi smiles brightly and begins circling the crowd. He is always lonely, and he wants so desperately to make friends with someone. But who would be friends with him? Whom could he give a very special gift? Jirachi's eyes scanned the ground beneath him, curiously eying everyone. Who was worthy? But then he figured it out. Her.Diving down, the Pokémon suddenly stopped before a female, grinning brightly. " You, you! Be my friend! Friendship promise! Here! Humans consider this one rare, yes?" Hovering backwards a bit, Jirachi pointed a tiny finger at a spot on the ground in front of her; from it, a bright light collected on the ground, like goo, beginning to take the shape of a Pokémon. ------------------------ And the lucky winner is... 22KimCongratulations! Zom: I am pleased to announce that your character, Kim, was selected by Jirachi; not only does this mean you get to choose any redlist Pokémon that Jirachi leaves her as a memento of friendship (just post the image of the Pokémon you wish to choose), but that also means she has befriended the legendary Jirachi, which is a rare event in Kairuu. Personally, I'd like to say that I am pleased to have you on Kairuu. You've been around for awhile now, and even through Kairuu's death. I think you deserve this, as little of a thing it really is. Thank you for being with is. A note, however: Since Jirachi is giving this to her personally, the Pokémon is soulbound to Kim. The only way it may be transferred to another character is if you ever get rid of her as a character, and she must leave it in the hands of another trainer; and if she ever makes a return, the Pokémon will return to her. Congrats, Zommie! <3 The Pokémon will be a first-stage (or a baby stage if that Pokémon has a baby stage), and level 10.
